HYBRID Talking with Children about Safety from Sexual Abuse

  • Delaware Township Community Center 9094 East 131st Street Fishers, IN, 46038 United States (map)

Darkness to Light’s Talking with Children about Safety from Sexual Abuse® provides tips to parents and caregivers to help them have age-appropriate conversations with their child about bodies, boundaries, and personal safety.

Talking about personal safety and, when age-appropriate, about sex creates a protective bond between parent and child, increases confidence for both, and instills knowledge that makes children and teens much less vulnerable to sexual abuse. Parents and caregivers will learn how to talk with and listen to children about sexual abuse and personal safety.

This training is funded by grants obtained by the Indiana Center for Prevention of Youth Abuse and Suicide and these funds are specific to Indiana residents. Therefore we ask that people who live outside of Indiana check Darkness to Light's website (D2L.org) to find a training in their area.

This event is HYBRID. Registrants will be asked to choose virtual or in-person. The training link and materials will be send to virtual participants prior to the training. The location for in-person participants is the Delaware Township Community Center.
