Chaucie’s Place Announces a New Name and Website

(January, 16, 2019: Carmel, IN) Chaucie’s Place, a local nonprofit specializing in the prevention of youth abuse and suicide, announced a name change to the Indiana Center for Prevention of Youth Abuse and Suicide (ICPYAS). This week kicks off a comprehensive rebranding effort, including a new logo and enhanced website.

“Though our name has changed, our mission is the same: to educate and empower the community to end youth abuse and suicide,” said Executive Director, Melissa Peregrin. “After recent legislation was passed that requires programming such as ours across all Indiana schools, an enormous opportunity presented itself to broaden our footprint in order to positively impact more Hoosier children.”

These rebranding efforts will enable ICPYAS to reach more children with a message of hope and healing. A new website, indianaprevention.org, provides educators and parents with information on a full suite of powerful, educational programs focused on prevention. The new site also offers resources to the public where they can learn how to respond responsibly, should they suspect a child is being abused or if a youth is considering suicide.

Focused on the prevention of youth abuse and suicide across Indiana for almost two decades, ICPYAS was founded in 2001. Their programs are evidence-based and train participants to recognize, react, and locate the appropriate resources available for help. With five key programs that support their mission, ICPYAS currently serves seven counties in Indiana, partnering with schools, churches, and other youth-serving organizations.
