The Indianapolis Foundation awards $10,000 to the Indiana Center for Prevention of Youth Abuse and Suicide

(September 19, 2019: Carmel, IN) The Indianapolis Foundation, an affiliate of Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF), has awarded a $10,000 grant to the Indiana Center for Prevention of Youth Abuse and Suicide (ICPYAS). The grant provides support for the youth abuse prevention programming in Marion County, which protects thousands of Hoosier children.

“We are so happy to welcome the Indianapolis Foundation as a new supporter of our organization,” said Executive Director Melissa Peregrin. “We are excited to have a new partner in protecting local children from abuse and neglect. Our highest priority is keeping kids safe so they can be free from harm and live up to their highest potential and that would not be possible without the generous support of the Indianapolis Foundation”

The Indianapolis Foundation awarded $1.1 million in grants to nonprofit organizations. The Indiana Center for Prevention is a nonprofit organization that works to end youth abuse and suicide through four core prevention programs. Support from the Indianapolis Foundation will go toward child abuse and neglect prevention education in Indianapolis schools and youth serving organizations.
